When Adam failed a geometry control question on the polygraph. He was not supposed to know the answer, but the polygraph peaked. Reid realized that Adam has multiple personalities–there was another personality who answered that question falsely because the personality knew that Adam would not know it. Later, this was confirmed when Reid saw his body language change as Adam gave him a “death stare” as Adam was leaving the police station, and as Reid saw when Adam attacked a man who later turned out to be a victim.

Whodunit?
Adam Jackson’s other personality, Amanda. She felt that she was protecting Adam by killing the victims. Adam wasn’t aware of her actions, or the fact that he had another personality. Amanda emerged when Adam was young and evolved when he was being abused by his stepfather, who made him wear dresses and humiliated him.
