Synopsis:
The team uses brain fingerprinting to see if a suspected serial killer who wakes up after four years in a coma really doesn’t remember any of the crimes he supposedly committed.

  • (2004 flashback) Morgan followed the unsub to the roof, where he attempted to evade capture by jumping across the alley to the next building’s roof. The unsub did not make it, and was barely holding onto the ledge. Morgan then went back to get a running start so he could go help the man. Hotch arrived on the roof at that time and argued with him not to jump like the unsub did, Morgan did so anyway, landing ontop the other rooftop. He then reached down to help the unsub but the unsub slipped and fell to the pavement.
  • While on the stand, Hotch profiled the defense attorney. He indicated that he was in debt due to an addiction to horse racing, and that his Blackberry went off every 20 minutes with the race results.

Synopsis:
The BAU is called to a small town in Texas to investigate what appears to be spree killings that involve a teenaged boy and his girlfriend.

  • When Reid thought Hotch was punishing him for his outbursts. Hotch was using Reid’s anger and closeness to the case to help them find out where Owen was or what his next move was.
  • In the end when Hotch confronted Reid and said he should fire him. He told him if anything like it ever happened again, he would. Always knowing without asking, Hotch said it was none of his business but he felt as soon as they landed Reid should catch the end of his movie. (At the beginning Reid had been at an NA meeting to talk about his addiction to drugs and how he’d watched a boy die in front of him. When he finally got the BAU, he lied and said he was late because he’d been at a movie.)

      Peter Redding. His father, Professor Charles Redding had been molesting Peter’s brother James. As they shared a room, they always heard the father coming up the stairs and enter the room, but rather than doing anything, Peter pretended to be asleep. To ease his brother’s suffering, he killed his brother and made it look like suicide. When the fire took the lives of the children the previous year, it triggered the feelings inside Peter so he felt the need to aid the parents who he felt suffered from the loss of their children.

      Goofs:
      When Laurie Ann is talking to Prentiss on the back of the ambulance at the end, Laurie’s hair is parted on the left side. When the camera angles flash back and forth from her to her husband and son, her becomes parted on the right side and then changes back to the left side once again.
